We have only had the new microwave convection installed since last Friday. The oven looks great, is easy to clean and fairly easy to understand. The only dislike would be the mounting instructions are not clear and the template that is provided doesn't correspond to how to drill the top mounting holes. It fully meets our expectations.

This is a very nice microwave. The oven chamber is larger than the 30" unit that it replaced. The design is clean and looks great in our kitchen. Even the chime that lets you know when the cycle is over sounds nice. The convection oven is a very cool feature, but we are under-utilizing it because we aren't used to having such a convenience. In a year I would give this microwave 5 stars because it will have proven it's durability too.

Used this microwave while we were staying with family while house hunting and fell in love with the ease of use along with the many options. Also, this thing is whisper quiet! I have to check sometimes to make sure its even working, its that quiet! Needless to say, the first purchase we made for our new home was this microwave. The reheat options are the best I've ever used, and the food is always evenly cooked with the hot/cold spots we have gotten with our previous microwaves. Can't go wrong with this one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the features, I’ve used the convection to make cookies twice. The door takes some time to get used too, it seems big but I think it’s the controls on the bottom. The fan seem like it should have an on / off, but you have to go thru the six speeds to turn it off. The fan seems vary weak, if your boiling a pot of noodles and have the fan on high, you still get a ton of condensation on the front of the microwave which concerns me with the controls right there. I don’t need moisture getting into the control panel.

Thought I would see how it did with steaming fresh broccoli...perfect! Asparagus??? Perfect! Sleek looking and a great machine! Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm going on a month with my new microwave / convect oven. The steam option in trade that comes with it will change your life. I am learning new things continuously with the microwave, and it continuously impresses me as I learn my new microwave / convect oven. I highly recommend to everyone. The only downfall of this unit is that there is not any backlighting in the push buttons

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Convenient presets make this very simple to use. The convection oven works well, no need to use the range for smaller meals. The large window with chrome trim matches the looks of the range and dishwasher. My only criticism would be the alarm for the timer is too quiet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The microwave is great has really great features- convection oven the timing all the settings the bottoms are the buttons are on bottom so we placed it up high and added a backsplash feature which is really nice easy to clean works wonderfully. One thing to remember is not to put it too close to the stove as the bottom does get hot from the heat of the stove

I've had this microwave about 3 weeks and I love it. It has exceeded my expectations. We decided to do an external exhaust through the wall and I'm so happy with it. We had it up initially with recirculation and the fan was very loud, but once we completed the external setup it wasn't as loud. It works beautifully sucking out all the smoke when cooking below. You do have to turn the blower around to face the back if you are going through the wall. Had to call to figure this out, the directions weren't so clear. Other than that, you have a workhorse machine here. My favorite part is the convection. I truly have double ovens now. This machine is way bigger as it has more depth and height then the average microwave and the door opens from the far right as opposed toward the middle. This gives you an overall big oven to cook in and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. It looks great, everyone asks me how much it cost. One little trick I find I have to keep remembering using the convection is that once you open the door while the time on your item is "still" running when you close the door, you have to look to make sure you press start twice if you change the timer. Don't know why this is but when I reset the time the first start sets it but the second start starts it. I know. I've forgotten a couple of times but my internal clock saved me from burning my food because I neglected to press start a second time after opening the door during cooking to check my food and then changed the cook time. If timer runs outs make sure to press 0 if you think you might want to add more time, otherwise, it will cancel the operation. Then it's back to microwave mode. Little things you'll learn using it. I almost set a new time not realizing I had to go back to convection bake but it was in microwave mode. So opening the door AFTER your timer runs out will cancel it. My only con is the fingerprints. They are everywhere. Have to wipe them off often. This machine is smarter and the sensor has worked pretty well but until I get to know it better, I still check things often when using the microwave. I've read a few complaints that it's not as powerful as previous 1000 watts, but it is smarter. I rarely used full power in my old microwave because it doesn't heat the food, it destroys its texture and taste, I have found. So let it be smarter because full power is not necessary. And yes, it might take a few seconds more or so, but at least your food is still food after it is reheated. I think this one is trying to be a better machine, giving a better experience...and it is! It's really a high end machine. You won't regret it. I didn't get the extended warranty because I have a home warranty for all my appliances but if I didn't, I would definitely buy the extended one.

Buttons on the front are user friendly and easier than the pad on our previous microwave. The best part is how quiet it is! I love it. It is versatile and for entertaining will turn into my backup 3rd oven.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit replaced another famous brand that also sells telephonestv’s as well as a myriad of the characteristics gear. The previous unit overheated after heating the 2nd bowl of chili. BTW, that unit replaced a 12 year old unit that needed a replacement display board. Now to the good stuff! Kitchenaid outdid itself with this appliance. It was easy to install, cooks and reheats as advertised and looks good in our kitchen. While it is not a professional appliance, it matches well with our existing pro-grade built-in kitchen appliances.

This is a very nice looking unit, and I like how quiet it operates. The range exhaust fan is loud, but offers five different speeds so I can use a lower speed to quiet it down. I had an older but decent quality Whirlpool Gold series microwave prior to this one, and I do miss the one touch "frozen entree" button - I cook/prepare and freeze portions to be consumed later - so it would be nice to have a button for this function, or at least a programmable button. I will get used to using this unit, it just takes more scrolling through functions before hitting the start button. The plus is the convection mode, and so far I have the perception that beverages heat up a lot faster than my previous unit, even though both are around 1,000 watts. I've purchased the (affordable) installation and old unit haul away service from Home Depot and the installers did a quick and excellent job. Now lets see how long this unit will last, I hope at least the same 13 years my previous one did.

I love this microwave. Very large. Love the various fan speeds and light. The sounds are pleasant and not aggravating. Very cool that it is a convection or microwave. Lots of cool features. I installed this myself into an area that did not have one before. Just need to add trim to make it look like it's been there awhile above my new KitchenAide stove.

I love this microwave. It is really well made and sturdy, the controls are easy to see and understand. It's super user friendly and does a fantastic job. I've only had the microwave 1 month but it is the nicest, most efficient microwave I've ever owned. We had it installed above our countertop, instead of above our oven because our oven is a downdraft in the island. Our cabinet installers did not make sure there was room to allow for the door hinge (for microwave door to open completely, because it was installed very close to an adjacent refrigerator panel). They returned and had to move the cabinetry involved over approximately 3/4 of an inch but our installers were apologetic for not catching that detail and it was a small glitch in our remodel. I love the presets for reheating leftovers and the softening butter preset. It's accompanied by quite a few accessories (I haven't tried them yet) but so far, I couldn't be happier with this appliance!

Definitely the most wonderful Microwave/ convection/ reheating left overs and making them better then Restaurant button called "STEAM" I don't know how or why but amazing

I bought this 3 months ago and I love it.

This is a really nice convection/microwave. Since our kitchen wasn't big enough for a double oven this is a nice alternative. It's a great size.We have baked cookies and pizza already with no issues. The food we've prepared and reheated have turned out perfectly using the convenient presets.

It is honestly the best and the most quiet Microwave I've ever purchased and the fact that it's also convection, makes thus a great purchase! It gets very hot in the summer here in FL and using the convection makes my kitchen much more cooler! It's latger then my previous Microwave and it's easy to clean with the stainless interior. Great buy and I am very happy that I went with Kitchen Aid!

Bought a kitchen load of appliances a month ago from the local appliance dealer. I have owned Maytag and other brands, but this one is so neat. Have not been able to try all the features yet. I do wish the alarm would have a volume control. It is to soft and hard to hear it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were looking for a replace of our Kenmore Elite Microwave after my RV came equipped with a Microwave/Convection cooking appliance. It spoiled me. It is just my wife and myself, so our dishes are usually small, and I just hated heating up our large oven for two pieces of salmon or chicken breasts. I did a lot of research on Microwave/Convection cooking, and I kept coming back to Kitchen Aid. Now that I have had it for over a month, I can give an honest review. I love this thing! The controls basically talk you though Convection Cooking. If you can read, you can do this! The other nice feature is you can calibrate the temperature in the oven. I confirmed the temperature accuracy with an oven thermometer while in the BAKE mode. The temperature was right on! I like the idea of cooking 25% faster. It also does a great job of steaming vegetables in the provided steamer. Now one main reason I replaced our old microwave was the exhaust fan was horrible! I can now actually smell my cooking outdoors! The fan on this thing has some great suction. It even grabs the smoke/steam whenever I open my stoves oven door. On high it is a little noisy, but you have 5 more fan speeds. A total of 6! It comes with a round metal rack for baking and an upper rack for multiple items. I would highly recommend this Convection/Microwave to my friends and family

Has taken a little time to figure out the options, but well worth the effort. Our previous microwave was 15 years old and Wow have they came a long way! Looks beautiful and the black stainless appliances have really updated the look of the kitchen.

I was going to stay with Maytag for my appliances, as have a Fridge and the Dishwasher, but when this was less expensive and the awesome look of the front, I had to have this microwave! It sticks out a little further in the front than my old microwave, but that just helps with venting the stove top. It is so quite when it is running and has a chime when it is finished. Highly recommend it and would buy again!

Great buy, I would have given it a 5, but I would have liked to see a better description of all the cooking options with better examples. Could not even find this on their website

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very classy microwave design. Our contractor for our kitchen remodel said it looked like a vault. I love the look of it!! It does not seem to work as efficient. Nachos use to take 45 seconds, now it is over a minuite. Disappointed the convection piece does not have a " toast" option as I was told it would bake , broil and toast was hoping to get rid of toaster oven completely. The convection oven is not user friendly too many steps to use it and you have to try to classify food which is often a guessing game if your item does not match up to their options. There is a rack and warning sticker is not clear " remove before using oven" well I thought it was for the oven??? I assume they mean before using microwave but it is not clear and it's only for 2- level cooking but I was not familiar with what this meant and instructions are also not clear!!! It is very quiet and has several light and fan modes which I really like! I feel there is definitely room for improvement on the convection side making it more user friendly otherwise I would have given higher rating. Overall we like it!

It has been a learning curve and something I will have to learn but there are way too many steps no option just to set oven you have to decide how to classify what your cooking too much guess work if your item does not fit criteria and timely.The instructions are not clear as to needing to take the rack out when microwaving the warning sticker makes no sense at all and no where in the directions do I see anything other than make sure rack not touching sides but the " warning sticker" reads remove rack before using oven--- the convection oven or microwave oven piece??? I assume microwave but then it proceeds make sure rack not touching sides when using but it sits on brackets so it is secure. otherwise I would have given this a 4 star I think there is room for improvement on this item. It is quiet, has several light and fan settings which is a plus!
