Overall good but costly

I love this saw, I’m a 71 yr. old female & really needed a saw I could use easily, I was apprehensive but bought it anyway & sure glad I did, I’ve already used it a lot.

Circular saw worked as expected and as advertised. However, my purchase did not have the hard case included as part of the purchase. Still worth the purchase at the price.

Great power, built with long lasting materials.

Had a PC I bought 30 years ago. Decided to retire it. Couldn't believe how much quieter and smoother this saw is. Great value.

I love this circular saw. Smooth handling. Light at the end to illuminate the cutting area. Sits flush against whatever you're cutting (in my case, it was a thick piece of butcher block). Clean cut and clean finish. Powerful and not as loud. Ruler to guide and make sure every cut is straight (or on your line). Only issue, there's no real place for your other hand to hold while cutting and no secure to lock the saw from being used by someone you don't want to use it. If you just press one button, it works. I'd wait for the saw to stop spinning before lifting it away from what you're cutting because it's so powerful, it can pull back and cut into the wood.

It did not bring hard case

Its the best saw on display hands down. I’v been using Makita for 10+ years.

I have had the same tool for nearly 20 years and have never had an issue - Makita knows how to make well built tools. The adjustments are somewhat prone to wood and gunk buildup as they are highly exposed but if you properly clean the tool on a regular basis, you should not have any issues. The tool is on the heavier side which makes it easier to rip through thick and knotty material but can also be tiring if you need to use it for a lot of cuts.
