I used this on a new swing set. It was so easy to apply with a brush. One coat covered evenly. No brush marks. Was dry the next day. The treated surface feels smoother than it did prior to application.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both colored stains were true to color, easily applied, and required only one coat. Please note that two coats are not recommended by the manufacturer. Stain was totally absorbed by the wood surface. I am very pleased with the final product by using Olympic stains. Painting a whole house is a huge time and cost project that you want to know you are using the right product.

I recently Purchased Mountain Cedar and the color is wrong. It is completely dark brown, almost black. Color is not even close. I am very disappointed.

Easy to apply, love the color. Hope that it is durable and lasts more than one season.

We just completed an "unconventional" project using Olympic Elite Woodland Oil . The stain worked so well that we decided to share some pictures! The project was a complete renovation of a late 19th Century horse drawn racing sulky, manufactured by the WS Frazier Co, Aurora Ill. Now we are proud to say that this sulky would be a show piece for any collector or small museum. The natural wood is now paint free and the Olympic Elite Woodland Oil Stain highlights the natural wood grain. We believe that the high quality oil finish will last another Century if kept indoors! The wood on the sulky is primarily oak and ash. Over 200 hours went into the removal of all paint and the wood was sanded to 320 grit. This sulky is impeccably restored right down to the buggy whip!

We bought the Mountain Cedar.stain and sealer .I pressured washed all the fence and let dry a few days. Put on with pump sprayer and it looks great. Very happy with color and coverage .

We used Kona brown woodland oil. It came out way darker and more red then expected. Also, don't paint over and area more then once or it will be splotchy.

Love the color. Exactly what I wanted. Because it was applied to a mix of old and new PT wood, it looks slightly different including where the roller overlapped. Will this card or can I put on a second coat in a week? Will the first coat repel the second? Many thanks!

Terrible experience. I Stained a new cedar deck last season. It was sanded and cleaned with olympic light deck cleaner for cedar. One year later we have sections with faded or peeling stain. There are also some areas which were scratched. We tried to touch up scratched areas but the stain accentuates any issues we have. We wanted to just re-stain over existing but I think we will need to re sand and restain the entire deck from scratch! I also recall when applying last year that the stain did not penetrate evenly. It was difficult to apply. I should have gone with a low pigment stain.

It is an EXCELLENT oil based stain. We used the Olympic Elite Woodland Oil Mahogany Blaze on a yard bench I refurbished and it came out AWESOME! Well, see for yourself in the pic in include. It's been through many rain storms since and held up as good as the day we stained it. Would unequivocally recommend to anyone. We will not hesitate to use this product again!!!!!

I have used Cabot deck stains for over 7 years. I have always prepped my deck by pressure washing the loose paint and let dry for 24 hrs. Lowes no longer carries Cabot, and was told the next best thing was Olympic. I pressure washed, then began staining the next day. I applied 2 coats, with about an hour of drying inbetween. Now the surface is BUBBLING and CHIPPING off. Extremely disappointed, as I have to dedicate ANOTHER weekend to painting my deck. I will be writing to techsupport to file my claim, and will make sure to use a new product. Apparently this product only works for NEW decks!

I applied this to recently pressure-washed PT decking and was blown away by the final finish. Product went on easily and absorbed deep into the wood, making it look rich and natural (almost like mahogany). Hopefully, this will last a while and maintain its appearance.

This is the third building I’ve stained with this product. The first was 12 years ago. Still looks like I just did it. Very impressed.

This took my VERY OLD, and, Moldy Wooden Deck, from Yuck--- to unbelievably Beautiful & it has been Repelling the Rain, like crazy! ( And, I can even walk on it, with BARE Feet! )

No strong smell, goes on easy, cleans up easy, looks GREAT! and best of all - my old splintered deck with a new coat of Olympic Stain & Sealant is now beading up when water gets on it. EVEN the splintered parts are beading up, it is amazing! Deck look like a new deck now!
