I painted on limewash thick, wanted an opaque look. The limewash drys almost tan, SO LIGHT not much color. I loved the texture hated color. So I watered down gray paint as I worked with the limewash, took me week, but got desired look.On hearth n left hand corner u can see the color of Nube Gray, not much to it.Had I known, would added pigment to it when I mixed it. But love the out come.

Easy just mix, used interior to paint red, stained brick fireplace. Used a sponge so not to get into the mortar and looks great.

Easy to apply, love it! Totally transformed my old, dingy fireplace! Be sure to buy the special Romabio masonry brush and watch their YouTube videos for a great application. For the little areas I just used an old blush brush I had cleaned, and the new 3M painters tape for delicate surfaces (the purple one). So easy and simple to do!

This product was very easy to use and my fireplace looks wonderful. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is trying to get the German schmear look on their fireplace. It's so much easier to do and less messy, and takes very little time.

This product is so customizable and very easy to work with. It goes on like paint but dries slowly and it is very obvious when it starts to dry down so there is no guessing about where you need to start distressing. I would recommend having a smaller brush on hand to do any edges or extreme texture spots.

Worked great, really easy to use, just make sure if you are doing a large area that you get the correct brushes.

I wanted to brighten up my fireplace and didn’t know where to start. My friend told me about lime wash , so here I am. Highly recommend this product. I only need 1 quart and used only half the water. Everyone loves the fireplace transformation. I went with Blanco white and was not disappointed.

I did a lot of research before whitewashing my red brick fireplace. It turned out beautiful and so glad I did it! I would highly recommend this. This didn't even take that long, a couple hours and I was done. One quart did my fireplace and it's about eight feet high and long. See the before and after pictures.

I bought this product to update our red brick fireplace. I did not realize I would have to mix the product with water, but that does allow you to control the opacity of the coverage. The directions suggest a minimum mixture of 50/50 product to water, but this ratio still mostly covers the color of the brick. So if you want to tone down or wash out but not mostly cover the color of the bricks, you would want more water. It takes a few minutes to thoroughly mix, as the product is kind of a putty consistency. I was covering a roughly 8' x 10' area and ordered the quart size, and had maybe 1/4 of the can left over (using 50/50 ratio). It dries to touch pretty quickly. Although I expected a bit lighter coverage, I am pleased with the results. I did this about 3 months ago, and it is holding up fine - no issues with it brushing or flaking off.

The color was just what I was looking for on our fireplace. After it dried I took a wire brush on a drill and distressed it. It was exactly what I was hoping for, to see the natural highlights of the original stone.

Super easy to use and so forgivable! I would give it more stars if I could!

We used the Avorio Limewash. It is easy to work with but definitely recommend to follow the dilution instructions perfectly for the best result. We bought the 4 gallon bucket and were only able to complete the front part of the house (visible from the road). Granted, we did seem to put it on thicker than most other users. Still satisfied with the result just need to finish the back. (not nearly as much brick, Built addition)

Excellent way to get the white wash look on many types of materials. The company may say that 1 qt doesn't go very far but you can thin this stuff out quite a bit. I managed to paint an outdoor chimney that is 20ft tall by 4 ft wide on 3 sides with quite a bit left over. If your just looking for a white wash I would do multiple test pieces and thin out to your liking. Also this stuff goes on appearing transparent but when it dries it comes out much thicker and will totally cover the brick, so make sure you don't soak your brush. You can apply this to many materials such as pavers, brick, concrete and even flashing around the chimney and from my experience, it hasn't faded or washed away. There's no need to get a special brush for this, just go get a 4 in cheap paint brush and you'll be good to go.

I have a dark brown brick fireplace i wanted to paint a lighter color to make my living room brighter because there are no windows in the living room. I bought the limewash 2 months ago. Qhen i opened it i notices its solid not liquid consistency like in the YouTube videos. When i diluted it sprayed my brick with water and then applied the limewash its not a thick coating on my fireplace. Im underwhelmed with the final result.

I love this product! It was so easy to work with and to acheive different looks withing the 5 day time frame if I was indecisive. I chose a full application (I didn’t wipe off the product at all) but it still looks natural allowing all the imperfections of the brick to show through! I actually enjoy spending time in my living room now, it’s so bright and airy.

This stuff is wonderful! It transformed my yellowish tumbled marble back splash into a clean, beautifully aged brick. I give it a 10+!! I have never used this product before, nor did I know how to use it. Followed the instructions, and voila! Beauty!

The Romabio limewash was very easy to apply, and it was simple to remove as much or as little as we needed to, using a cloth with vinegar afterwards. The limewash softened all the colors in our 70s brown, beige and tan fireplace, and gave it a weathered, aged appearance. It was exactly the look we wanted.

Updated a1970's red brick with black mortar. Used 2 quarts Avorio White as I wanted is a softer white than the Bianco. Follow the directions as labeled. Steps I did: vacuumed the brick - work in small areas spraying water then applied the lime wash. I bought the recommended Romabio brush and also used a smaller brush for the black mortar.. this product allows you to rub off to achieve a look you want. I choose not to do that as I wanted the color of the brick and mortar to be covered. I did have to go over the black mortar as it took more product than the brick. I am very happy with the end result. Saved me from having the brick removed and replaced with stone. total time was 6 hours. I attached before and after pictures.

It was very easy to apply and get the distressed look, however my color may have been mislabeled. Once I applied over the entire fireplace and waited the recommended dry time, the color came out very beige.

LOVE THIS PRODUCT! So easy to bust and totally updated my dark & dated stone fireplace! Little bit of product goes a long way. Totally recommend this!

Amazing Paint that really transforms your Bricks both exterior and interior!

This product was so easy to apply. Just don't let it fool you. It will dry darker than when you first put it on. So cool that you can go in and wipe it down to lighten it up. Great product!

Very easy to use! Looks so great, provided the right amount of coverage with just one coat. Looks like it was meant to look this way.

mixed with the darker white color, followed directions, and came our spectacular. make sure to wet and clean the brick. I layered it to be safe on color. it chalks up, but no worries, wipe with tile sponge to get desired color. no foul odor.Worth the money.

I ordered 2 quarts at 2 different times before I started. The first quart was very watery when i opened it and die not mix up as nicely as the second. I diluted it 1:1. I got the gist of application quickly and it covered well. The brick fireplace I applied it too was unsealed and very rough. I purchased and used the recommended brush to apply it. In deep, very rough areas, and along edges, I found a smaller brush easier to get coverage with. I covered a deep red brick with Avorio white. It covered pretty well. There was some bleed through of color as it dried, but since I was going to do some wash off it was fine. The next day I used water and a cloth to do a wash off. I did a slight amount of antiquing and am very pleased with the look. Better then I anticipated.

I was looking for a product that would brighten our dark, ugly fireplace but still look natural. This paint was exactly what I was looking for. It transformed the entire room and is exactly what I was looking for. It was also very easy to use.

We have an old small red brick shop in USA. It was dark, dirty, damp, smelly with lots of spiders inside. I wanted my husband to paint it white. My daughter now living in Europe learned to use this limewash paint as latex will smother brick causing peeling and flaking. Couldn’t find it in the States and was expensive to ship overseas then. Called Home Depot and finally they carried it and glad we waited. Feels fresh and bright. The paint has a clean smell thats hard to explain and it feels so much drier in there. Not seeing hardly any spiders either. So glad we did it.

Completely changed the look of our house. Our contractor used a sprayer to apply it instead of brushing it on. We love the way the house looks now and everyone who has seen it just raves about how good it looks.
