DO NOT BUY
I bought this unit for my salon. As a salon we need hot water access very quickly and readily available. I paid to have this installed and 4 months later the unit started shooting cold water and only cold water very inconsistently. I tried every step from @Rheem. I called Rheem again and they made me go through a list of troubleshooting. I spent over $5,000 and never got the unit fixed. Go with a tank heater!!!

While the water heater is doing exactly what I purchased it for, the customer service sucked. I had to purchase the heater twice, the second time at full price. The store never contacted me but sold the previous special purchase out from under me. Neither the manager nor the installation scheduler would talk with me. I wasn’t offered any discount on the final purchase. Consequently, I will no longer shop at Home Depot even though I have spent over $11000 in the past few years.

It broke after less than 3 years
After taking a round of ice cold showers, I called my plumber who confirmed after inspection that the unit's main burner is damaged. The unit was starting then turning off after 10 seconds. We took immediate action and replaced the unit with a more reputable brand. In february, can't wait few days for parts to arrive . Then I called Rheem since the warranty was still valid, who disagreed to give me case number to get a refund from home depot since I didn't follow their broken protocol. Stay away

The only issue we have are slight temperature fluctuations in the shower if two showers or washing machine/dishwasher is being used at the same time. No issue if only one shower solo is being used.

Do not buy
It worked decent for a while. Working one year the heat exchanger busted. I called Rheem and they said take it back to Home Depot and they’d swap it out. Plumber took it back and ended up having to pay more money because they won’t exchange with there new one. It’s a scam to get more money. Warranty doesn’t matter. They tell you it will last 20 years and when it breaks they make you pay more. Stay away from Rheem!

Does what it says. My HW heater is in the pantry with no drain (old house) and I felt the auto shutoff valve I bought in addition to this a necessary component and HIGHLY recommend you get one too (it shuts off the water supply if water is detected on the floor)
So HW Heater? AWESOME! they all should come with auto-shutoff but since none of them do, spend the extra $50 or so and buy and install one when you install this.

Worst Product I ever purchased!
Ours was installed by a professional approved Rheem plumber! It worked great for the first 8 months! We loved it! Ever since we started getting a code 12, everyday. No plumbers, not even Rheem revommended,
will service Rheem products, they say they are junk & repairs won't last the 90 day warranty! Now I have to replace the igniter at least once a month
Or even weekly at $80 each! I'll replace the igniter, it will work for about a week. Then we get the same igniter code w/ no hot water!

Extremely Satisfied
I had this unit installed 3 years ago by a plumbing contractor and it has never failed to supply enough hot water for an extended family of six. Two washing machines, two dishwashers, three bathrooms & two kitchens. Highly recommend this product. If you ever need tech support, Rheem excels in that department. 5 stars across the board.

Easy Install
I bought this Rheem to replace our Navien that went on the brink.Error code: flame rod/igniter need replacing.Since we were installing it ourselves I replaced the entire unit,which was easy.The unit is quiet&works great.I went with this one because it was available nearby and it matched up with the existing outlets (gas,hot/cold water, intake&exhaust). Minor adjustment to the PVC went from 3in to 2in.

Buy this if you like cold showers!
I purchased one of these tankless heaters, and had it professionally installed. It worked well for the first two year, after which the igniter coil failed. The company would not honour their warranty commitment, and could not send out a replacement coil for over five weeks. Buy something else if you have the chance.

Constant Fight, not worth the headache
We purchased this unit in August of 2022. We had a plumber over to perform the install and things went fairly smooth. Thing was great for about two months. Then had decreased water flow, water leaking from the exhaust vent, shutting off randomly. Called Rheem service and got a claim number. They pulled the bad install card. Redid gas and vent. More issues. Still jumping through hoops 8 months later and the unit still doesn't operate. Constant battle and frustration with Rheem and unit.
