The store employees are pleasant and the store is clean. They are starting to get essential stock in and do a good job of display.

Great new addition to the South Loop. Good inventory, not quite as much as North Avenue store but decent.

The managers and the entire crew are extremely, helpful, knowledgeable and kind. I prefer this store over any of the stores I have visited in and outside of the Chicagoland Area. This store truly acknowledges and support community projects.

If I have to go to a Home Depot, I prefer to go to the one on North Avenue. It is more spacious and seems cleaner and lighter. The flower department at this store is cramped with very little selection, but the main thing is that the attendants seemed apathetic.

Home Depot is my go-to store for repair items. I needed a thermostat and went to the Home Depot at 47th and Western. Despite the website showing the items in stock the shelf was empty and the cashier in customer service did not try to help me with an alternative or other options. Frustrated, I went to my usual store - the South Loop location. They had the item I was looking for - on sale! Although the item rang up at the regular price the cashier, Laurie (?) went out of her way to help me with a rebate option, and ended up honoring the sale price. She was calm, patient, professional. She made sure I had my receipt before I left the store. Thank you!!

used to love this store, especially the garden section in the Spring. The last two times I've been in the store, no one would help me with anything, the self-checkout wasn't working properly, again no one would help me. And the girl checking receipts at the exit is definitely NOT someone who should be customer-facing. If you want a "thank you for your business", this is NOT the place. If you are a single woman and doing a complete rehab on your place, and if this is the most convenient home improvement store, you might consider taking a man with you (just as an accessory) so that the employees will find you worthy of assistance. Anyone have recommendations where someone would assist me with new kitchen cabinets, new bathroom vanities, new bathtubs and toilets, new tile for walls and floors in bathrooms, new plumbing fixtures, new lights, new mainroom floors, new carpet, new fridge, new stove, new microwave, new dishwasher, new washer/dryer, new doors, new blinds and a new HVAC unit?

I was harassed by the security after paying for my items...I paid through a cashier and proceeded to leave the store...they went through my bag even after I showed my receipt and continued to rip through the box that I purchased?

Great service at this location from the time I entered the store until the time I checked out! I found everything in stock that I was looking for.

The associates Jessica and Casey went above and beyond in the paint department, then Deandre went above and beyond at the cash register. Manager Courtney praised her associates for the good job that they did.

The whole experience was easy and employees were helpful and friendly.

This store was like most Home Depot stores except for Jesus S. in the paint department. This was the best experience I’ve had with a Home Depot employee ever. He was helpful, knowledgeable, and super accommodating to our questions and needs. He provided great advice and we felt very comfortable heading back to complete our project with his advice. Thanks Jesus!

Had big issues with the flooring department, unable or unwilling to resolve and issues. Very complicated process for flooring, they sell it, someone else measure, someone else installs - no one speaks to the other. They sold me a flooring product and when my homeowners association refused to approve without a sound underlay, their sub-contracter "GS" refused to install the product. I tried to switch to a different product, spoke to sales person Raul, the manager Maxine, and to Nicole - called flooring many time. All committed to call me back with a solution not one of them did. Disappointed and will be likely be cancelling full order - cannot trust or recommend the service of this home depot.

When my son and I entered the store we were immediately greeted by the employees. When I asked for assistance in locating signs to put on my property, three employees immediately assisted. All the employees were friendly and greeted me with a smile. The employees made me feel like a very important person and I will certainly shop at this store again. When I was checking out the employees asked if I was able to locate all the items I needed and wish me a wonderful day. It is a pleasure to shop in a store that have such friendly and helpful employees.

Too many employees that dont have any trade experience.

Every so often you run into a knowledgeable and professional employee at the South Loop Store. The only reason I still purchase items there is the convenient location for me. However, I have taken a lot of my business to other hardware stores due to the lack of customer service and product knowledge by most of the associates. At the same time, the ones who are good ARE GOOD and there should be a mechanism IN THE STORE to point out employees you should keep!
