You just need a second person to put it together. It uses less charcoal than I thought. It’s so efficient. Can’t believe how easy it is to control the temp between hundreds of degrees with just a tiny amount of change in the air intake. It’s wonderful!

I bought the classic ll and I cook everything on it. So much easier to regulate and keep a temp that I set. From many different vegetables to meats.

Best Grill/Smoker I have ever purchased! Love all the accessories and hope to never need another grill.

This is my second Kamado style grill, after 13 years my first one went to Kamado heaven. I've had the classic 4 months now and have only 1 issue . The heat deflectors can be tricky to put in place when the coals are going, the ring that holds it should have a smaller diameter. This thing rocks! I'm very happy with it! That being said, this thing is awesome

I was already a charcoal guy and had enjoyed my Weber Kettle for about ten years when I decided to move to the Joe. I enjoy every minute of it. I've had it for about six weeks and have tried about everything but pizza. Smoking, roasting, searing, baking bread... as a newbie I've had to ease into hitting the right temps but the outcomes have been great. The build is excellent and the only complaint I have there is that the hinge spring seems to need adjusting frequently to make sure the lid stays where it's supposed to. The ash tray works perfectly and regulating temps is made easier with the top markings. I recommend getting a remote thermometer. It doesn't need to be fancy but it does keep you from having to lift the lid.

This grill is probably one of the best on market. If you love grilling but aren’t the best, this grill is a must as it will help you become a great grilled, smoker, or searer!

I bought this KJ back in February. It never bad any problems and holds the heat well. Also it is a very versatile unit good for any style, baking pizza, doing super hot searing, grilling, smoking, overnight cooks etc. My favourites are Tomahawk cut and Lamb racks. I will recommend a Kamado Joe to anyone who is into BBQ and or a decent kamado.

My daughter has been a self professed vegetarian before she had steak from the classic 2! Winning the lost back over one kamado joe at a time!

So easy to control the temperature and very full efficient

Having never before owned a smoker, or even a charcoal grill, i decided to splurge on a Kamado Joe Classic II and I'm so glad I did! I am so impressed at how well the grill holds temperature and how easy it is to operate. If you're on the fence about purchasing a Kamado Joe, don't hesitate. They are well worth the money!

Had less money and bought another brand Kamado as it was cheaper than the KJ classic. Then the KJ2 came out and this was a game changer. My Kamado got quality issues and after two replacements the dealer agreed that I got my money back. Kudos for Their Support as well. But I just added 500 bucks to the budget and got my a KJ2. What a nice thing and after 2 years already, no cracks, minor issue with the vent (replaced under warranty) and still happy. Yeah I would love to have the KJ3, but this version is also great. If you are on a budget, just buy this one. The quality is good, the innovation is great. Other brands are really behind.

After many years of gas grills we went back to Charcoal with the purchase of a Kamado Joe Classic. Still relearning some things but loving it.

As soon as I unpackaged my Kamado Joe II Classic I realized how well made it is and how much quality all the pieces have. I am extremely happy with the product and I finally have a grill where I can maintain temperatures for long periods of time constant without having to worry about it. I trust this product and I believe it to be the best grilling solution out there for everyone that loves bbq.

I got my Big Joe for Christmas in 2018 and throughout 2019 I made it my mission to learn how to use it effectively. I must say, today I am producing brisket, pastrami, ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and pizza that blow people away and rival many restaurants. I continue to marvel at how my Big Joe allows me to create such amazing meals. I love the Kamado Joe Big Lump charcoal as well.

I was initially reluctant to purchase the Kamado as the price point was pretty steep. However, my father in law convinced me as he was getting one too. End result, I’m very happy that we have this now. It’s very versatile and a sturdy product. I also like how many things you can do with this grill. I can’t wait to try all the things that are available. We have purchased the pizza stone so I’m excited to try that out. There are however a few things that could be a little better. I’m typically used to a larger cooking area, and with a circle there’s some space that’s missing. We have the middle size so there’s a good amount of space. The other thing is that it is pretty heavy but being a ceramic piece that’s understandable. Overall I would absolutely recommend this grill to friends/family. In fact last week I had a friend call me regarding the Kamado snd he was pretty sold on it. Thanks for a great durable product. Overall I would recommend this

all i've got is this the best grill i ever cooked on, and I've tried a few, the way this big guy keeps the temperature is unbelievable, outdoor cooking turned into a hobby and cooking on big joe is just a pleasure. low and slow, searing steaks, even pizzas, does everything incredibly well. add that beautiful charcoal flavor to anything you cook. I think you can tell how happy i am with my bigJoe : ) Happy cooking

I did a lot of research on Kamado grills before making the decision on Kamado Joe and more specifically the BIG JOE! I have not been disappointed. I love the many options for add-ones you can get. The cooking space is amazing what you can fit on the standard grill surface. The flexible level cooking with the deflector plates makes great searing side and a deflected roasting area. I could keep going about why I love the Big Joe, it has make a great addition to the backyard.

I bought my Big Joe several years ago and built it into a cooking island shortly there after. All because of how versatile and fantastic it is. I even have a mini now for when its just my wife and I.

We got this as part of a wedding gift. We have friends that have those “green ones” that haven’t ripened to Kamado Joe red, so my husband researched and liked the features of the Kamado Joe much better. We haven’t regretted a single thing about it!!! We’re having a blast experimenting with it

I upgraded from a lesser kamado, to a classic ll. I have it for three months now. I have smoked, grilled and baked on it. Could not be happier.

It has been a year since I have made my purchase and the variety of ways that you can use the Kamado makes it a go to piece on my patio.

I have owned this smoker for a little more that a year and it has exceeded my expectations. One of the best features, is the ability to "slow" cook my beef brisket, pork ribs, pork shoulder (pulled pork), turkey and chicken. The Big Joe retains the heat for a long time and the deflector plates are amazing. I use the Big Joe Lump Coal and it burns perfectly for my needs. Easy to start and lasts a long time. The Big Joe is easy to clean when I am finished and the grates look brand new after a years worth of use. The lid is very easy to work with as my wife and son also enjoy using the smoker. I’m using this kamado for 2 months now. I used to have a kettle grill and what a world of difference. The way it holds the temperature and the way to control it is perfect. The space on the rack is also big enough.
