Does not Clean clothes, bedding, etc
The unit was delivered on 7.9, I've used it about 15 times and most loads come out dirty, see attached photos. I have read the manual several times, called LG, and tried what the representatives suggested; clothes still come out of the washer dirty. Another issue is there is hardly any water in the tub and clothes remain above the water line the entire cycle or the tub fills completely full. A full tub for a small to mid-size load it is such a waste of water. The LG paired dryer was making a screeching noise as they tumbled. I would really appreciate it if LG would refund my money.

Best purchase decision made
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So we had an old (I mean old) Kenmore washer that has always been 100% reliable and always said I would never buy anything but a Kenmore when it comes to washers/dryers. We just kept buying second hand dryers when ours would break which was usually every year it seemed. So finally we decided to just get a new set (again I was set on a Kenmore) and went to a locally owned business to buy one. Well we were told that Kenmore doesn't make good washers and dryers like they use to and the reviews proved that, (also he refused to have anything Kenmore in his shop as he always has to work on them because they are breaking down ALL THE TIME). SO we knew this guy and he's very honest person so we asked him what he recommended. So this is what we went with, I bought the washer and dryer set. Very affordable and my good gracious the DIFFERENCE is unreal! Our clothes smell better, feel better, and even FIT better! Yes it takes a little longer for the cycle to complete but thats a tiny thing compared to the way it cleans and drys our clothes. I love how we got a 6 year everything warranty and 10 year warranty on the motor. We are going to buy a refrigerator next and guess what brand we are looking into buying? Well if you don't answer that right, it's your own fault. I LOVE LG's products and will forever be a thankful and grateful customer!

Function, Form, and it Cleans Great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great features. Wanted a top loading washer after years of using a front loader. I really like the HE turbo wash but love having the deep cleaning, agitator tub of water option. Cleans great. Easy to use. Love the graphite color, the see-through lid and the sleek look. I love my laundry room and washing clothes now! Two negatives. One is the finish. My previous washer/dryer had a porcelain finish, which was much more durable. The finish on this washer scratches/mars VERY easily. I would have liked a porcelain upgrade option. The second is having to leave the lid open after finishing laundry to let the tub dry out - something to keep the lid open slightly (rather than a wine cork or having to leave it completely open) would be a nice added feature.

    LG AGITATOR is the ANSWER!!
After years of my old IMPELLER LG washer with off balance error codes wasting away water, I discovered ALL IMPELLER washers have the issue!!! Im sticking with LG brand quality and reliability and switched to this AGITATOR HE washer. WOW what a difference. No more off-balance issues and it cleans excellent without having to add extra rinses. GREAT program modes. The wifi connected LG App is awesome!! LOVE LOVE IT. I highly recommend it. And for a limited time, if you connect washer to WiFi & register thru phone app, you get an EXTRA YEAR of warranty added on!!!! Win win .

      Disappointed!
I’ve had this washer for five months now. I really want to love it. Heck Id settle for just liking it at this point. Unfortunately it continues to disappoint. I dont know how its possible for shirts to come out of the washer DIRTIER than they went in, but thats exactly what ive just experienced! Actually, this has occured multiple times now. I read the long manual a couple weeks ago thinking i must need to adjust the load setting to better accomodate specific items. I reduced the amount of HE detergent. I reduced load size. I select deep wash and extra rinse when appropiate. Ive adjusted the drain hose and i run the Tub Clean cycle every three or four washes. There is no filter to clean. Diagnostic test shows NO error codes. I dont know what else i can do to get this high tech fancy washer to just CLEAN my laundry. I have literally shed tears of frustration and defeat. I cannot believe I paid eight hundred dollars for a smart washer that cannot complete the simple task of washing my clothes. Ive read similar reviews. Ive attached a photo of the black shirts that just came out of a deep wash which took over 1.5 hours to complete. Urrgh!

        Great capacity
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer after dealing with a Whirlpool brand basically just after few days after purchasing it. It's been only a few weeks that I have my new LG (first time buyer of this brand) and I am absolutely in love with it. I chose with an agitator because it washes the clothes better. Washing comforters is a peace of mind with the enough space of this washer. Spin cycle is very decent without much noise or vibration. And I really like the option to fill up the washer with water or not.

Better then the ice cream man
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With such a diverse range of laundry needs, our family, was in need of a washer with multiple cycle options. We also know the history of reliability of LG products, so it was a no brainer when it came to selecting the make. From the pre wash to waterproof cycle, we found a use for them all. We have no problem washing king sized bedding in its large capacity tub. The glass see thru lid gives you opportunity to save new clothes if they start to bleed during first washings. The best things of all were first seeing the decrease in our energy bill then also hearing the ice cream man sounding chime of the finish cycle.

        Very satisfied with LG Washer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a similar Maytag washer and was dissatisfied with it. So spent a little more on this LG washer and so glad I did. Cycles are quiet, quick and laundry is dependably clean. Huge tub that easily handles bedspreads, etc. I got the agitator model and it is perfect. The only minor inconvenience is that it locks quickly (I understand the need for safety) and the tub is so deep that at 5’2” I must get on my tiptoes to retrieve my washed items :-)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my LG Smart Washer!! I have owned Samsung and Frigidaire Gallery appliances in the past, but was overall dissatisfied with them as they would breakdown on a regular basis. My LG is reliable, quiet, and beautiful to have in the house. I highly recommend this appliance.

        Not enough water
We have to manually pour water onto the clothes to make it heavier for when the washer weighs and senses it. If we dont do this not enough water will pour and it will leave soap residue on all clothing. Basically dry washes the clothes. Not satisfied.

          Very disappointed
My washer of thirteen years broke and the maker no longer produces quality washers, forcing me to find another brand. After much consideration I settled on this one. I wish I'd kept looking. Efficient in this case means barely using enough water to cover the clothes. Some cycles take an hour and a half. Some clothes still smell and socks that I bleached are still full of dirt stains. I'm so disappointed. It just doesn't wash well.

            Welcome to Computer/Sensor "High Efficiency"
We’ve owned the LG WT7305CW ($699 purchase price) washer for several months and our experience has been mostly positive with a few negative issues. The bottom line is we would recommend the washer to anyone shopping for a new top load style washer with agitator feature. The washer cleans well; the capacity is large enough to easily fit a king/queen size comforter/blanket inside. The fill, agitation and drain cycles are very quite for a top load washer with agitator. This washer allows the user to add water to a wash cycle before or after the cycle has begun (by pausing the cycle and touching the deep fill button). The heavy duty cycle actually cleans dirt and grease spots from jeans. The Wi-Fi network adaptor included in this washer is more useful than we thought. It’s helpful to be notified the washer has finished a load needing to be placed into the dryer. The clear glass lid is a must for operating this washer model, read on to understand why. The washer can be extremely loud during higher speed spin cycles; the washer spins at various speeds which are preset depending on the wash cycle selected these spin speed cycles can be modified by the user. Once the washer starts the lid locks; you have to pause the cycle to unlock the lid if you need to add clothing, the washer will not operate with the lid open (not even during fill cycle). We prefer a load of clothing be submerged in water; this washer uses sensors which control the level of water depending on the size of the load and type of wash cycle selected. Half the time the washer does not submerge the load, so you have to monitor the beginning of the wash cycle, pause the machine and hit the deep fill button until adequate water is added to the load; selecting a wash cycle then hitting the deep fill button then hitting the start button does not always submerge the load and holding down the deep fill button for three (3) seconds and releasing it can add to much water to the load. I understand all new washers are computer/sensor controlled for “High Efficient” operation to use less water/energy but having to monitor the water level then manually adding water is idiotic. This washers "High Efficiency" design is questionable, specifically when we wash bedding or other bulky loads the washer tends to become out of balance easily during the final spin cycle. To correct being out of balance the machine stops, adds 28 minutes to the final cycle, and refills with water essentially cycling through a second rinse and spin cycle. How is that "High Efficiency?" I downloaded the LG app which provided a host of additional wash cycles, I did not find these cycles useful, and I still needed to adjust the water level when using the app on the washer. We probably would have returned the washer if it did not have such a large capacity and a clear lid to monitor the water level. A smaller gripe is having to leave the detergent tray open with the inner blue tray popped out to dry all water out after using the machine. Owning this machine caused me to greatly appreciate the simple design, operation and build quality of much older top load washers, This LG replaced our 16 year-old GE top load washer which had a dual agitator, the GE could not be repaired due to the transmission being discontinued by the manufacturer. I would be surprised if this LG operates five (5) years without needing service; given the sensors and computer controls needed for operation. In fact we purchased a 21 year-old Maytag Dependable Care (LAT9416AAE) top load washer as a backup to this LG. We purchased, cleaned and refurbished the Maytag for a few hundred dollars. The replacement parts and DIY videos were readily available on the internet. The Maytag has no computer controls, cleans clothing as well, maybe better, in half the time or less than the LG and the Maytag is simple to maintain. The Maytag is the quietest top load washer we have ever owned. Pro tip; anyone shopping for an older Maytag top load machine will want to purchase one with the two drive belt, dual agitator design with Warm/Warm Wash/Rinse feature. These were some of the best and last machines made by Maytag before Whirlpool bought out the brand in 2006. Attached is are photos of the LG and Maytag.

                    WARNING DO NOT BUY!!
Unless you’d like your clothes to come out of the wash looking like this do not buy this washer! We have one dog who sheds an average amount. We had a fridgidaire prior to this with no issues! Our clothes have never looked like this after a wash. I contacted LG and they will do nothing about it. We have tried every setting/reduced our load size and nothing helps. Do not buy!!

                      The Cadillac of Washing Machines!!!
I have been reluctant to purchase a washer finding the bells and whistles out weigh the actual cleaning potential of the machine. UNTIL NOW! The added features are not necessary but I do finally see the ease of such a machine. Clothes are cleaner, easy to use, less water and detergent waste ad I use less than half what I used prior, and man is it quiet and so beautiful.

I am so happy this washer have the deep wash and deep fill option it gave me more water and when I open the door to add something, water doesn't drain automatically another great option I love :) and washing is awesome. I hate to wash my clothes in a spit of water lol. My other washers and I had 2 (Bosh front load and Maytag impeller top load they great washers BUT not enough water in them, I end up running 2 cycles, one with soap and one with out) sooo when I try LG,s options I was in happy heaven :). Stick on picture is showing how high water gets.Thank you LG.

LG Quality, fit & finish has me with my third LG appliance now, this great washer. It is quite an upgrade from my old but reliable Sears Kenmore washer that has served me well without problems. This new washer has more bells and whistles than I really need but not at the cost of intuitive, easy operation. This washer has lots of "smarts" including a TrueBalance Anti-vibration system that is fun to watch in action: the tub "interviews" the load and balancing before the cycle even starts, assuring smooth operation. Wifi connected, the washer mates up the LG ThinQ app on the web or our smartphone. You can download different load handling capabilities right to the washer, get notifications on washer/load status and a variety of handy maintenance perks. A joy to use!

This LG top loader with Turbowash technology is the quietest washer I've ever owned. With the mega capacity stainless steel dimpled tub. You can fit more clothes in this stainless steel tub and wash with less water. The self centering load feature is amazing to watch. Thur the clear door which is also a slow close lid. The nice clean digital display is easy to figure out. With six different speeds for washing. And plenty of options settings. For delicates and bedding and heavy duty washes. You can also add an extra spin cycle and even add more water to loads. The LG washer decides how much water it needs to clean each load. This LG uses half the water of our old machine for each load. Which means annual water savings. The ThinQ wifi pairing smooth and is useful for checking remaining time on your smartphone. Plus a 10 year limited LG Direct Drive motor warranty. That's nice peace of mind.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this washing machine!! It looks great and the tub is HUGE! I washed a king size comforter in the first load just to see if I could and it had no issues fitting inside. It came out clean and the cycle was quicker than I thought it would be. It is also very quiet. I also like how when it spins out the clothes are not soaking wet. It is much more efficient than my old top loader with both electricity and water. It has more bells and whistles than I could even have imagined. I love how it sends an alert to my phone when the wash is done in case I don't hear the ding. If I had to mention a con it would be that my mother (5'2) needs a step stool to reach all the way down into the tub. So if your short you might not be able to reach. Otherwise it is fantastic!

This is definitely a MEGA CAPACITY washing  machine.  I did my king bedding (sheets & pillowcases) along with 3 bath towels, 6 hand towels and 6 washrags all in the same load and still had room.  The bedding wash cycle went smoothly with only having to add the laundry, put soap in the dispenser, close the lid, push the ON button and select my wash cycle then push the start button and off it goes.  It starts out by sensing the load size and then starts filling with water (which is a quick fill).  It took about hour to complete the entire cycle from start to finish. This washer has an assortment of wash and rinse cycles to choose from including 5 temperature settings, 5 spin settings, 3 soil settings and 5 special care settings along with 7 preset choices. This washing machine operates much quieter than my old washing machine and I like having the see thru lid. It was easy to download and set up the ThinQ app.  Once I figured out that I had to enter the last 4 characters of my washers wifi network name twice, it was a snap. It's nice to know if I have any problem with my washer that it has the Smart Diagnosis built in to figure out what the issue is and help get service quicker.  It came with a one year full warranty and 10 year warranty on the  LG Direct Drive Motor.

I've been very impressed with this washer so far. I owned a competitor's washing machine prior to getting the LG washer. The previous washing machine was about as basic as it can get when it comes to features, options, etc. It is what I would consider a "dumb" washer because it did not have any ability to connect to the internet. When it comes to appliances, I am on the fence with "smart" appliances. In my mind, it is another thing that can break. However, the LG washing machine is built to the LG standard. Installation was simple. The only difference is you have the option to connect it to your internet. If you do this, you have the ability to see the diagnostics in the event of a problem, you can start a load from your phone (I don't see myself using that feature very often), and it can tell you when your cycle is complete and ready to transfer to the dryer. My favorite feature turns out to be something that is so simple, yet such a good idea for top load washing machines. The lid for the LG washing machine is a soft closing lid. So no more accidentally slamming the door shut. I really enjoy the LG washing machine and am very happy with the product.

Highest rating possible!! This is one of those products that you will say, "why did I not get this sooner". Loaded with great features. Load and input your setting via the simple easy to use electronic key pad. The machine then will start a balance cycle where it positions the load in the drum to ensure a balanced wash. Soap and softener is loaded in the dispenser top back of drum. The LG E 27" 4.8 cu.ft. will then sense the weight and mass of what you have put in the machine and set the water level. The great 4.8 cu.ft. capacity allows my wife to wash "king size" bed comforters, that prior had to be taken to a dry cleaner. One of major feature you will find is the great spin cycle. The LG Electronics 27" removes enough water from fabrics that the savings in dryer cycle time has be drastically reduced. This will amount to huge saving in utility bills. My wife likes the chimes the machine produces to tell her the cycle is done. The delivery by Home Depot was amazing. This is the third major appliance that they have delivered. The staff was very professional, polite, made sure that no mess was made and no damage to wall, door or any other structure in the home. They removed the old washer, hooked up the new LG Electronics 27" and test ran the unit. Our satisfaction was a top priority. What more could you ask for. Look no further you have found it!!!

This is the version with an agitator (as opposed to impeller.) We chose this version because of some of the negative reviews regarding washing performance of the impeller version as well as our own experience with another brand's impeller design at our summer home. This has a huge tub with a 50% capacity increase compared to the Kenmore Super Capacity Plus unit it replaces. The tup is larger in all dimensions, and can it be a challenge when it comes to emptying. I am 5' 9" tall and have no problem reaching all areas to remove washed clothes. My 5' 0" wife cannot reach the bottom rear area. However, it is easy to rotate the tub and bring those items to the front at which point she can manage to remove them without the aid of a step stool. This washer washes clothes well. There is no dearth of water as has been reported for the impeller version. No matter what the load size the washer seems to dispense an appropriate amount of water. There are no dry items after a wash cycle. This washer is much, much quieter than the machine it replaces. The loudest noise you hear is when the tank is being drained and the water is nearly empty. There's no clunky transmission sounds, balance issues and the motor is nearly silent. Love this since our laundry room in centrally located in the house. There's a large variety of cycles and cycle modification available, plenty to suit us. Yes, the only option for rinsing is Cold. We kept our old machine in case we didn't like the performance of this one. We'll be disposing of it now.

This is perhaps the biggest night and day difference from a traditional washer to a modern washer. All the same features and functions are still there. You just do things a little differently than before, but not by much. For many doing something as simple as using a washing machine has always been the same till now. But, it's really not that much different. If you forget to add some clothes, or if it gets way out of balance during the spin cycle, which can still happen, it's still just as easy to correct. Even better now with such things, thanks to technology, you just pause the cycle, do whats needed, and press play, literally. Handles a much larger load of clothes, and surprisingly uses a lot less water. From start to finish it does several things to simplify the washing. Right from the start it calibrates the amount of clothing, and the water needed. During the cycle it constantly adjust for best performance and you can even watch it do the self balancing when it starts to spin. Though should you need to interact with the cycle, you can actually just pause it. That simple. The biggest difference though, it actually gets clean, cleaner. Not sure of the how or why but you can get dirt out of clothes that were cleaned with the older style washing machine. Now the part that only a few may use but it's worth using, the wifi connected side. Set it and remotely start it, get alerts when it finishes, all sorts of things you can do. Why? If you want to do laundry and don't want to let it sit and get smelly all day, load it, and on the way home start it as you leave work, it's dome when you arrive. Alerts? It's really quiet compared to traditional, you may not know it's dome if you are not near it. Get a popup alert. Best of all, Voice assistant compatible, how easy is that? Well worth the price, really clean, real easy. And it is kind of relaxing watching it wash with the see through lid. How many will admit to that?

This top load self leveling LG washing machine is very impressive. The features I like is the large stainless steel tub with agitator, clear slow closing top and electronic display. The appearance is very nice as well. I prefer top load to front load. Front loads have a mold and mildew issue, top loads do not. The washer is very quiet while running and the wifi compatability is awesome, but a feature I won't use as the dials are easy to use. This washer really gets your clothes clean. I highly recommend!

I prefer the top loading style washing machines over the front-loading type because the front loaders are too low, and I have to get down on my knees to retrieve the items in the rear of the drum. While the front loaders do use less water, they generally take more time to wash a load. This model delivers on multiple points with the convenience, speed, and cleaning power of a top loading agitator, while maintaining high-efficiency water levels and cold-water options. The features I like the most are: 1. It is very quiet during both the wash and spin cycles 2. It does seem to get my clothes cleaner than my old machine did 3. The stainless-steel tub is smooth and dimpled for rust free, snag free operation 4. The 4.8 cubic foot capacity can handle really big loads 5. It has multiple wash cycles to compensate for fabric type, soil level, and water temperatures 6. The lid closes smoothly without slamming 7. LG has a great reputation for quality washing machines I am very satisfied with the quality and cleaning performance of this model.

I just had my LG Electronics 27 in. 4.8 cu. ft. washer delivered and installed. They also hauled away the old washer. I recommend having it delivered and installed. The delivery people were fast and friendly and even showed me all of the functions. This washer is what they call a mega capacity top load. I like top load rather than front. The front load seals get mildew in them. The washer also has an old school agitator. I like that to help clean my clothes. The last HE washer I had did not have that and I could smell the clothes don't get all the way clean sometimes. So far this washer doesn't have that problem. Also this washer is huge! The grand canyon of washers. No more going down to the laundry mat for king size comforters. It also has Wi-Fi Connectivity. I don't think I will be using that function. The dials are perfect and easy to use as is. Plus I don't want my appliances talking to each other about me behind my back!
