If you are using the timer, all other functions are disabled. For example, if you are using the timer for something that you are baking in the oven, you can't use the microwave to defrost something. My 16 year old microwave that I replaced, could do both at the same time. This is such a simple basic function. I'm sorry that I bought this microwave.

Easy to open and close You have to press buttons a little harder than on a GE microwave It did not suck air from the bottom, although it did exhaust air at the top. This was my main issue

      Just bought - problems
      just bought 2 weeks ago. the handle is not well attached, door rattles, and ever since it was installed my house smells like onions. this is the replacement for a previous samsung microwace that broke and it would have cost more to fix than it cost.

      I hate onions! But, this isn’t about me and my personal issues. This is about you having a perfectly functional microwave that doesn’t smell. When using the microwave for the first time after purchasing it, you must burn the oil inside the microwave. You can try cleaning inside the unit.
