So far so good. But not sure how long it can last.

I only gave these hinges 4 star rating only because I feel the way they tell hoe to install them is not a good choice in my opinion. Looking at the hinge one might not think about the adjusting slot in the hinge as much as I found out about what its other than adjustment.? Rain, sprinklers water causes the inside to falter in it's spring strength. Turn these upside down this is not mentioned in the install pages You; reviewby; TGJILLIAN

Hinges are junk and lose tension quickly. I’ve had them for only a few weeks and regret the purchase.

Great self closing hinge used for fence around patio. Liked that I could adjust the tension to control how quickly the door would close. Worked well I would definitely buy again if needed!

I bought these to put on mypool gate. It was 110 degrees outside and once mounted these “plastic” hinges wouldnt close the gate as well as the old spring they were meant to replace. They seemed to bend and stay in position instead of closing the gate.

Shipment arrived on time, product works as expected and seems to be of good quality.

This is a great product! I used the D&D Technologies TruClose Model N346-206 Series 3 for my gate custom fabricated from 1” square steel tubes. However, the installation instructions may have some purchasers in a quandary with respect to the manufacturers gate weight and hinge spacing limitations. The gate is rated for 66 lb maximum gate weight with a minimum hinge c-c spacing of 35.5 inches. But the hinges are rated for 36-inch-wide gate with heights of up to 60.” Placing the center of hinges 3 inches from the gate corners would allow a hinge spacing of 54”. This would allow a greater gate weight than 66 lb. Similarly, if your gate was only 26” high (a garden gate) you would need to know the reduced allowable gate weight for a hinge spacing of only 20 inches. A chart from D&D would be helpful. Using D&D’s 66 lb allowable weight for hinge spacing of 35.5 inches, I calculated the resultant shear force for each hinge. Then I solved for the allowable gate weights and hinge spacings that yielded the same resultant shear force. My results for hinge spacings and allowable gate weights are: 20”-45 lb, 24”-52 lb, 30”-60 lb, 36”-66.5 lb, 42”-72 lb, 48”-75 Lb, and 54”-78 Lb. (D&D please check!) Warning to gate fabricators: have the hinge in hand before you build your gate. Dimensions shown on website may not match those of hinge. Website showed 23mm as width of seat for gate attachment. “Great,” I thought, “it will fit nicely in width of 25.4 mm square tube.” BA-WAH-WAH! Seat width was 28 mm. I had to add a shim to tube so that edge of hinge base would not project beyond tube width. (I know-nit picky engineer is redundant!)
