2 months in. Work well so far. The setup menu is not intuitive but gets the job done.

The lock worked okay for a year, and the fingerprint reader works only if your fingers have some moisture on them. Dry skin like during winter months won't work. After the first year the lock started giving me trouble during cold weather. By the middle of second winter the motor that engages the locking mechanism wouldn't run long enough to unlock the door. Warming it up would work, but who carries a heat gun around ? I put in a trouble ticket on the app but got no response from the company.

I bought two. I snapped one of the wires on one of the locks and ended up taking it back to the store. The return was painless and the lock I did keep seems to be working pretty well. I've had it installed about a month now. It opens on the first scan of your fingerprint about 80% of the time. I've only had to use the keypad once. The keypad is a little frustrating.

Fingerprint scanner is temperamental and only occasionally works well. The backlighting is very dim during the day, nearly impossible to see. And it’s kind of a pain to get the touch screen to respond. The screen tends to lock up periodically as well. Otherwise feels like quality and the app seems to work well.

Easy instal and setup. Takes awhile to learn the pressure needed on finger pad to work. Couple of tries. Now I don’t carry my keys around. Will purchase again for other doors.

Easy install. Works great! Was very impressed with the numerous options for being able to use door (key, keypad or finger print.)

Have a lot of difficulties just setting up the fingerprint. Will not read my thumb, only index after several tries. Even other family members cannot register their fingerprints. Returns “Failure” when setting up. Issues with the app: does not indicate how many fingerprints are registered. Cannot see the code I or other users have entered Cannot add additional admins Really want to like this product, because when it works it is great!

I purchased a Lever door lock previously. It worked well. The customer support had been fantastic. I had a problem with the bridge and they replaced it. I had a problem with 1 missing screws and they a replacement immediately. Now I have had a problem with internal works and they are sending a new lock. This is a fantastic product with great customer service. I highly recommend the UltraLoq for lock.

Finger print scanner only works some of the times. Always says failure. If you're looking to use this feature often, look elsewhere. Been outside for about a month. Has been exposed to the elements; rain, sun, cold weather and already showing some slight rust. Keypad is illuminated white so extremely difficult to see the numbers, unless you use one hand to cover the pad then you will see it glow. Hence the finger print scanner, but unusable most of the time. Bluetooth feature is somewhat useless. It opens on the app, but only remains unlocked for guest to come in for 2-3 seconds before locking back. You have to time this with your guests or deliveries precisely or else you will find yourself unlocking over and over again for them. Overall, it gets the job done. Opens gate fine when you can see the keypad during day. Not a problem at night. If you don't mind scanning fi get several times to get in, then yes it also gets the job done. Opens via blue tooth, however not very practical or efficient which defeats the purpose. But overall, that feature does work.

Was very difficult to understand the instructions for programming. Had to get assistance. Can not get it programmed for passing in and out throughout the day. Does not remember owners codes. Wish I had bought something else.

I am very happy with this door lock including customer support. The components of the lock feel sturdy and well made. The fact that you can add random numbers in front or back of your code is awesome, giving me peace of mind in general. I got an issue with the lock about a year after I bought it and customer support helped me solve it within 2 emails. I'm a happy camper!!

I needed a secure lock for my indoor pool & Spa so I decided to try this because I can program that only Adult fingerprints will open the door so children can't access the room unsupervised. I got them on time which was great Instalation was a breeze for all 3 & I was up and running within an hour of opening the first box. All 3 work great so far I had a problem with one claiming my new battery was low but after changing twice the batteries it started working great. I would love to be able to transfer all programed Fingerprints from one lock to the others which will save me time & maybe there's an option that I don't know yet? But otherwise it's been around 6 months and I'm very happy with this product and absolutely recommend this

Lock works fine...instructions need to be written in the US

After I installed the lock, U-Tec updated the App and removed the Auto-Lock feature, that they still advertise as being in the lock. They told me they were putting it back in but it has been weeks past when they said it would be back. Meanwhile, there is NO WAY to LOCK the lock from inside OR outside without using the App!!! Customer service was very responsive for the first weeks, but now they haven't delivered on their promise or gotten back to me at all. Otherwise the lock is good. Just needs the programming fixed so auto-lock is back in and the button inside can be used to lock the lock from inside. I will change my review once the programming is fixed.

Impressed 2 months in. The finger print option to unlock is surprisingly reliable. I’ve had trouble with finger print options on other devices but this one is consistent and fast. The only reason for 4 star is the app you use to set up the code/fingerprint is not great and seems a bit out of date. Says my fingerprint failed to save but it actually does save it.

I’ve had this for over a year and the fingerprint function doesn’t even work anymore and neither does the app. I try to use the app and literally nothing works on it I try unlocking the door it fails as well as the logs and making it unlocked in “passage” mode. It was great while it was fully working but now it’s kind of a pain in the butt. Also the battery life is not great I have to replace the batteries all the time.

Husband just installed these over the weekend, I love them. Beautiful on the doors and easy to unlock.

My organization purchased about 35-40 of these locks for our office doors around our complex. We were very happy with the initial build quality of the device and its overall appearance. After a year of service these devices are beginning to fail in more ways than one: 1) Batteries drain very quickly -- every 2 months or so (even on doors that are rarely used) 2) The plastic internal components fail prohibiting the handle from actuating (must be opened with a key at this point and renders the keypad entry function USELESS) We felt a product of this cost should suffice even in a commercial environment because of the lack of use these doors would see. Generally these locks are only used a few times a day because the areas they secure only need to be secured at night and while the managers are at lunch; no more use than this device would see in a residential environment. All-in-all my organization is very disappointed with the structural reliability of this product and will no longer be purchasing these model locks in the near future.

Good concept but it doesn’t work well. You essentially have to be on top of it for the Bluetooth to work (within 3 feet). It would not unlock after a few days of use; took the batteries out and reset and it worked for about a week. Now the battery says low (2 weeks in) and the door will not unlock. For the money, you’re better off with something else.

Easy install and good functionality ....after one week, so far so good!

I have been using the UL3 for 2 years now. I love the many ways you can use the lock, like fingerprint or pin code. One thing I will warn you about....If you have dry hands, like myself, you will need to breath on your finger in order for the scanner to pickup your fingerprint. I don't have to do that every time but a lot of the time. Other then that it is solid built and a great lock.
