Washes twice as much as my old top loading machine. Much quieter, uses less soap and water.

So far so good! Only had it a week, but I really like it. I am a textiles artist with plumbing for 5 washers in my studio, so I know my washing machines! The last two were kenmore and did not hold up like the Kenmores we had before. The remaining kenmore you can see in the picture has a broken door. I am saving my pennies to buy another one EXACTLY LIKE this one! The panel is easy to use. The steam setting made some old mop heads look brand new.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the set washer and dryer a few weeks ago. So far, I am very pleased. It is very quite and does what it was designed to do very good. The only thing that I did not like about the washer was the drain hose that came with the unit. It is cheap plastic and very stiff in comparison with the one that was on the unit I replaced it with. However, I got over that pretty quick. The other issue I didn't like so much was the sound tones that it makes when you select option. That is also something I got over once I saw how well it performed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this washer about a month ago. The spin cycle really extracts the water, clothes take very little time to dry. I'm getting used to the unusual sounds, it is a little noisy but so was my old one and it doesn't go off balance. I like how it senses how big your load. The most important thing is my clothes come out clean and smelling great.

Granted it is just day one, but we really like it. It seems pretty high tech (although simple to use) and did a great job on our 'piled up stack of laundry'. Really like the distinctive looks of it too! We matched it with the matching gas dryer (which is equally as good). With the 10" pedestal (these don't have storage but we had the taller ones before and never used their storage and they made the washer/dryer way too high to fold stuff on) they stand 48.5" tall which is perfect for using the tops for folding, etc..

This is our third Maytag washer in over 30 years and is our second front loading washer replacing old Neptune washer. This model (MHW3505FW) is the least expensive front loading washer machine Maytag currently carries. It lacks bells and whistles fond in more expensive higher models, but all the essential functions and features are there. Withe basically same drive mechanism and chassis build in the USA with Maytag quality, the price of this machine is unbeatable. The operation is very simple, and it is working to our expectations so far. We will see if it lasts as long as the other two Maytag washers we owned in the past without giving us any troubles.

Started throwing codes about drainage and etc. checked filter...all is well. kept throwing codes...could have almost bought a new one after the computer panel and pump were replaced. Guess Maytag repair men aren't too lonely anymore.

I had my first top loading Maytag for 25 years and it still ran great but we were adding a laundry room and I liked that the stackable washer/dryer had a smaller footprint. However, and this is not really a knock against Maytag, but the front loader simply doesn't clean as well as the top loader did. The EPA has restricted water use and it makes a difference in how clean your clothes get. It's not really a water-savings if you have to run the wash twice to get the clothes clean. Live and learn.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this washer for almost a year now. It’s absolutely gigantic, which is extremely helpful when you have two little kids. I can fit almost double the amount of clothes in this washer compared to our old one. The only issue I’ve had is that two or three times the electronics have gotten confused mid-wash. That is, I paused it to add another piece of clothing, and the electronics froze. Another time it froze before I even started. Thankfully, both times I was able to reset it by unplugging it for a few minutes. But it was a little scary in the moment.

We purchased this 3 years ago, and today it seems the control panel failed. The power button lights up for about 3 seconds, then everything shuts off. I've been reading the reviews here and see others had similar problems, and that Maytag will not cover the cost of the repair despite the 10 year parts warranty, which is apparently worthless. We scheduled a service appointment with Maytag and the first available is 2 weeks away. All of it is unacceptable. We will be buying a more reliable brand in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this washer. Like the Dryer I put them both on a pedestal. I use a wheelchair full time so this makes it higher and easier to reach. Also have a neat place for storage. Love this washer and dryer

I just purchased a matching set and my clothes come out clean. One problem is I think, the installers did not balance the washer properly and it makes a lot of noise and wobbles badly every time it goes through the spin cycle regardless of the size of the load. I hope it’s an easy fix otherwise it will go back. The other thing is I use Tide pods. One per wash. They seldom desolve completely. I will address this when the repair man comes out to see why it is so noisy. Too bad there’s already a problem at less than two weeks old!

I bought this machine in November of 2017. Worked well for the first almost 2 years, then error codes popped up. Repairman came (at my expense) and said there are two possible solutions. The first was a $50 part that i could switch out myself, the second was a whole new motherboard, which would have cost $400-$500 with labor. I bought the cheap part and it limped through the final year randomly glitching with the same error code. I finally decided to buy a new washer rather than replace the motherboard. No way i was going to pay almost the full cost of the machine in repairs when there’s no guarantee it won’t keep happening. Bad product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this unit as our first new set of washer and dryers after many years of buying used appliances. The price tag can be a little intimidating at first, but on average we were replacing a used unit every three or four years. If Maytag is true to their word we will essentially be paying the same amount but getting three times the use of what we would normally get from a used washer. The only reason I wont give a five star rating is because the filter is on the underside of the machine, and the occasional sock will get lost in there and need to be pulled out. Its not too hard though- you just have to tilt it slightly and reach underneath to unscrew it to rinse and replace. Otherwise thrilled with this product.

After having this washer for 3 years, the control board is in need of replacing. After spending so much on this thing and then having to spend a few hundred more a few years later is unacceptable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 16 months after we bought the washer, it died. F05 E02 error. Maytag kindly sent a repair person out to deal with the issue - who found that our upkeep was good. He replaced the latch, which 'fixed' the machine... for two more weeks. I feel like I am a sucker, buying a Maytag based on their old reliability, and not taking into account new manufacturing processes. Don't pay for a maytag - buy the cheapest thing you can find - they are all the same and the money you save will just pay for your repairs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our 1st front loader and we have had it 1 year. We love everything about it! Cleans excellent, uses less water (our water bill is down), larger capacity, love all thew features especially the sanitize option!

Another warning to avoid this washing machine because the control panels are unreliable. I purchased this machine in June 2017, and now it will not power on. I had a Maytag certified technician inspect the machine today, and the control panel has failed and the appliance manager is questionable. Since the machine is out of the 1 year warranty period, I am stuck with a 2 year old washing machine that requires repairs costing $450-$700. I am very disappointed in the quality of this Maytag product.

Product stopped draining within two years and the trap is not the issue. No warrenty after 1 year unless you purchased extended.
