What do I need for my dorm?
We've got your dorm essentials. Get storage containers or moving boxes to transport your belongings, and be ready for residual dirt with disinfecting wipes and cleaning supplies. Make your room your own with wall decals and area rugs. Bring a tub of spackle to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang wall art and string lights. Extension cords and power strips let you place table lamps, microwaves, and mini refrigerators where you need them. If you didn't get a new backpack yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head back to college with useful products from your Pensacola Home Depot.
How can I prepare my home for summer temperatures?
Be confident your home is ready for relentless summer heat by repairing faulty parts of your home. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. If moisture gets in the cracks, you might be looking at trouble. On the exterior of your home, inspect roof shingles or metal roofs for rust or damage that may let water leak inside. Keep gutters fully functional to prevent overflow from entering your home when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're badly weathered.
What kinds of moving boxes do you have?
Make your move easier by picking up a mix of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you want, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Remember to check out our rental moving trucks if you need those, too.
Is it good to have a generator at home?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with tornados, hurricanes, severe thunderstorms, or blizzards, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements take it out. When searching for generators for sale, remember that inverter generators cost more than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors.
Do you have doorbell cameras?
Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a nearby window when you can watch animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.
When is the Home Depot Kids Workshop in August?
Head to the Kids Workshop from 9–noon on August 1, 2026. Introduce your children to the joys of building with this cute pint-sized rocket game. Building this small wooden spaceship is a great way to sharpen listening abilities, creativity, and fine motor skills. Team up with your kids to make this fun craft while supplies last. The best part is launching the rocket, so leave some time to send your rocketship into space!
