Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Does The Home Depot have a Father's Day sale?

The Home Depot Father's Day Sale is coming up, so start shopping now for Father's Day gifts that your dad will love. From traditional gifts like grills, outdoor power equipment, and tools, to practical gifts like generators, ladders, and garage storage, we've got Father's Day deals on all the presents he's been waiting for. Shop the sales online or in-store from June 4th through 24th, and make Dad proud of the bargains you found.

How can I prepare my home for summer temps?

Be confident your home is equipped for relentless summer heat by repairing faulty parts of your home. On your house's exterior, examine roof shingles or metal roofing for rust or damage that might let water leak inside. Keep gutters clear and functional to prevent excess water from backing up into your home. Chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're in poor condition. Also, check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces. If moisture gets in the cracks, you could be dealing with damage.

What kinds of moving boxes do you have?

Pick up a variety of moving boxes to make moving and storage easier. We've got the sizes you want, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Look into our rental moving trucks, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?

Restore power in your home even after severe weather takes it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making more noise when they create more power. When exploring different generators, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.

Do you have wired or wireless doorbell cameras?

Enjoy privacy, safety, and peace of mind with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a peephole or window when you can watch animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Many cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed.

What's the project at The Home Depot Kids Workshop in July 2026?

Head to our Kids Workshop on the 4th of July, from 9–12 noon or while supplies last. It's time to put together a wooden go-kart toy! Your little builder can assemble their very own go-kart craft — like the race circuit version but kid-sized. Remember to leave some time to race your new go-kart toy with others!
